Mid Century Modern Throw Back
space
We had the pleasure of collaborating with KingSett Capital to launch the "Ready Set Go" program at Arthur Erickson Place, a classic 1965 architectural gem in our city. This initiative offers tenants the luxury of moving into a fully-equipped space without any hassle. We crafted a variety of environments, including meeting rooms, bookable private offices, quiet rooms, collaborative seating areas, and a state-of-the-art kitchen, addressing the top requests in the Return to Office (RTO) process.
Nostalgia Modernized
Arthur Erickson Place boasts wonderful mid-century modern influences, which we sought to enhance. Our goal was to juxtapose the powerful, monolithic structure with a softer mid-century modern aesthetic. We preserved key elements such as cast-in-place aggregate concrete surfaces, polished concrete floors, and geometric ceiling structures. To infuse character, we introduced mid-century modern-inspired furnishings and millwork.
Bespoke acoustical wall coverings pay homage to Erickson's signature exterior glazing system, seamlessly blending his iconic style into the interior. In a post-COVID world, audiovisual and acoustical design have become paramount as remote and hybrid work arrangements persist. Each meeting and quiet room is thoughtfully equipped with custom acoustical wall coverings and flooring materials to facilitate effective collaboration. All work points feature sit-stand stations with acoustical privacy screens.
Return to Work Trends
Understanding the importance of communal spaces in the RTO era, we dedicated significant effort to creating a "gathering space and kitchen." Research indicates that many companies seek spaces that foster culture and team unity. This area seamlessly transitions into a semi-informal reception space, eliminating the need for a traditional reception desk. Instead, it offers a moment of respite. During events, the kitchen zone can expand into the informal reception area.
KingSett Capital stands out as one of the few landlords offering fully furnished and professionally staged workplaces, reinforcing the trend of workplaces feeling more like homes. This strategy has left a lasting impression on potential tenants, creating a unique and memorable space
