C Parc Business Park
Brand
Crestwood parc wants a new vision for their business park located in Richmond, BC. The goal is to revitalize the lobbies, food amenities, gym, and exterior spaces by introducing a more creative and playful culture. The concept is forming around the current infrastructure on the property. The current buildings exude 80s and 90s style, so we thought the best strategy for refreshing their appearance would be to implement a modernized version of 90s design that would complement the existing environment. The 90s reboot is all about: pattern, intersections, black and white, bold, contrast, nodes, diagonals, criss cross, and tic tac toe.
it’s time for a 90s reboot
The Park has over 10 buildings with lobby’s that were under utilized and devoid of activity. Our approach was to activate each lobby with a furniture program and games zone. The goal being to have tenants from each building start to cross pollinate and interact within the different buildings.
To tie all the buildings together we developed signage and wayfinding system that crisscross’s the property using our oh so 90’s signature electric blue.
materials
The material selection for this project is focused on creating contrast, implementing patterns, and emphasizing bold colours. Each material has some connection to the 90’s but we have toned it down to make sure it will stand the test of time. We had some fun on the furniture by introducing some bold patterns that are reminiscent of our earlier years when “Saved By The Bell” and “Pacman” were our vocabulary.
Signage
All signage and way finding was refreshed to tie into the the 90’s re-boot concept. Marquee signage was designed to be visual enough to be identified from a moving car which is the way most people navigate the site.
